Top 5 Ways to Lose the Baby Weight!

You had a baby! Congratulations and welcome to the wonderful, exhausting world of parenting. First on the list is probably losing that baby weight. Regardless if you gained 25 - 35 pounds or more you have to figure out how to lose the weight. You may have had babies 10 years ago and can attest to how hard it can be to get your pre-pregnancy body back. Plus, if you’re like me time is at a premium. Here are the top five things to help you lose the baby weight forever!
1. Drink plenty of water (8- 10 glasses a day). Water flushes out your body and helps keep you from overeating.
2. Do short bursts of exercise each day. Do short, fast, effective resistance training workouts to help boost your metabolism and increase your energy.
3. Get more sleep. Lack of sleep tends to increase hunger and affects the body's metabolism making it difficult to maintain weight loss or lose weight.
4. Eat foods from close to the ground. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables more often than you eat processed food. Fruit and vegetables are low in calories and high in nutrients; both are key to weight loss.
5. Make time for yourself. As a mom you often put yourself last. If you make time to take care of yourself you will feel better, be a better mom and be able to lose the weight.

Mighty Baby Wipes

I am going to share with you the recipe for the BEST homemade baby wipes! No more diaper rash for your baby because you are going to make your own wipes. You will know exactly what is in them and there are no harsh chemicals. They will save you money and save your little one's skin.

You need the following items:

  • A 10 quart Rubbermaid type container to hold the wipes. (circular is preferred but any shape will work)

  • A roll of paper towels cut in half with center cardboard removed

  • Baby oil 1 TBSP (I use J&J but if you have a preferred oil use it)

  • Baby Wash 2 TBSP (again I use J&J lavender baby wash)

  • 1 3/4 cup boiling water

Cut paper towels with a sharp non-serrated kitchen knife in half, pull out the center cardboard. You use one half for each batch of wipes. Put the paper towels in the Rubbermaid container and pour the mixture of water/baby oil and wash over the paper towels. Cover and let paper towels get saturated. Pull a wipe from the middle and say goodbye to diaper rash forever!!

Mom on a Diet

So it is. You are a mom. Whether you have been a mom for a month or 10 years I am sure you can relate to what your body used to be like B.C. (before children). How does one get that body back? Is it impossible to have a flat tummy? How about toned arms? Can you learn to eat right and still have a life? How about exercise? Who has hours a day to exercise while working, chasing kids and managing a household? I think exercise often gets pushed to the bottom of the never ending "to-do" list. If you are like most mothers out there you have several pounds to lose before you can get back to your "pre-pregnancy weight". After 3 kids of my own I certainly know pregnancy can change your body forever!

If you have tried diet after diet only to find that you can lose a few pounds but not really change your body you may be in for a treat. In just 90 minutes a week you can get back into those skinny jeans and balance your hectic on call 24/7 job of being a mom! Even if you don't have tons of weight to lose and you just want to get healthy and find a plan that will work for you. Be the BEST mom you can be. Be a mighty mom!
